A quickie - Can't Fail Solution for the Auto Industry

Branding, Branding, Branding! Remember how Eddie Bauer had a Branded Ford Explorer a couple of years ago? How about if the Big 3, (plus Toyota, for the heck of it!) banded together, re-opened the Flint, Michigan plant that Michael Moore highlighted in "Roger & Me", and pooled their designer brains to come up with the most advanced, fuel efficient vehicle -- Kitt: The Next Generation. Since the President is a grass-roots sort of guy, let him harness the power of the Knight Rider Online community, most of whom would trade their Accords and Camry's in before Michael Knight could say "Turbo Boost".

Don't believe me? Check out the Knight Rider Online Community at http://knightrideronline.com This group of do-gooders would do anything to save the show. Harness that Passion.

And while we're at it, why don't we put that same A-Team to work on making an A-Team Van. Hell, we could even make a 'My Mother The Car' car! Think outside the box!

In fact, we should ask NBC to release (or lend!) the rights to the name "The Foundation for Law and Government", and have the rabidly intense Geeks raise money to support the programs that we "don't have the money for" but that we all believe the country needs?

Or, we could try a social experiment. You know how many times a person says "If I only had a nickel for every time...", well, let us put our money where our mouth is. In honor of "One Man Can Make A Difference", the West Milford Alchemy Guild will be setting up a store where any profit above the actual cost and shipping goes to charity. In our case, we will split the profit four ways: The 9-11 Memorial. The local battered womens' shelter. And twin libraries: One for West Milford, and one for our sister city - Newark, NJ. We are the Newark Watershed. We supply their water. Let us supply the tools they need to make New Jersey, and by example, the country, strong again.
